The Virtual School
Virtual School offers a complete, middle and high school curriculum. Assignments are completed online. Internet websites replace textbooks and provide unlimited sources of information. Critical thinking assignments are developed in accordance with Blooms Taxonomy. The curriculum can be used to support regular classroom instruction or be the primary mode of instruction for students unwilling or unable to attend school. Over 600 courses are provided to support the development of job skills. All are delivered over the Internet and on CD-ROM. Skills taught include: Employment Basic Skills Series, Computer Skills, Basic Literacy Skills for the Job Market, Information Technology, Personal & Professional Development and Trade & Industrial Skills. With wireless computer and handheld technology, learning can occur at any place, any time and at any pace. Our Wireless School contains all components necessary for a complete learning experience. This includes: computers and hand held devices, mobile carts for computer storage/battery charging and complementary resources in support of mobile learning. Technology Leadership Program
This program addresses issues associated with teacher proficiency in technology. TLP replaces the ineffective, traditional training support system. Periodic classroom instruction in PC Skills (on staff development days) is ineffective. Thus, a vast majority of teachers are unable to effectively use technology. TLP applies personal learning to provide skills and achieve proficiency.
